To support and develop people through skills development, feeding poor families and Community enrichment programmes.
N Tech Foundation was founded by Dumisani Ndebele after he saw growing need in his community for food and employment. The lack of opportunities also leads to various other socio economic challenges and the N Tech Foundation aims to address as many of these as possible .
Our Programmes:
BUSINESS TRAINING
The N Tech Foundation sees entrepreneurship as the lasting solution to the unemployment challenges of South Africa. As such, the foundation offers business training , mentorship and incubation with the assistance of local businesspeople who act as mentors and coaches. These new business will allow previously disadvantaged groups without income to create income through agri projects, retail, sewing and artisan driven skills.
COMPUTER TRAINING
The N Tech Computer Centre started in June 2020 as a project. It has since undergone an extensive change in both the staff component as well as in the computer hardware department. At present, it accommodates 20 students per class, and offers classes in basic computer literacy, computer networking and computer repairs.
The N Tech Computer Centre offers basic computer skills from beginners to advanced level. Due to the demand for the courses and the fact that space is limited, students have to complete registration forms and go through a screening process. At the end of their tuition period, students write exams and are awarded certificates.
COUNSELLING
The impact of violence, abuse and dysfunctional families on a diverse urban society can be very traumatic and leave lifelong scars of deeply-rooted emotional wounds in the heart of an individual and the community. We, as the Counselling, Care and Support Unit, and as part of the N Tech Foundation, contribute positively towards the prevention of violence and abuse through restoring the moral fibre of society by providing counselling, advocacy, capacity building, community-based research and the provision of a mental ‘safe space’.
Our counsellors work to a code of conduct, a practical tool and internal compass that guides all our volunteers, part-time and full-time employees. It is underpinned by an emphasis on our commitment to maintaining a high standard in our ethical and professional approach as counsellors; a high priority on confidentiality, protection of human rights; and offering a professional service to the community.
